“I will ensure Bole District is upgraded to a Municipal status”-Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has on Monday October 10, 2022 said that he will see to the upgrade of Bole District to a Municipal Assembly status.

The Vice President stated this during a courtesy call on Bolewura Sarfo Kutugefeso l as part of his two- day working visit to the Savannah Region.

His assurance came after Bolewura made the request among other things as part of his welcome address message.

Bolewura also requested for a pickup for the palace to enable carry out day to day activities within the traditional area.

On the issue of elevating the District to a Municipal status , Bolewura backed his request with articles in the constitution and the results of the 2021 population.

Addressing the chiefs and people’s of Bole traditional area, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia assured Bolewura that he will deal with that matter in immediately he goes back to Accra .

He said that his visit was to let the people see what initiatives the Nana Addo government was executing in the various Districts in the Region.

He mentioned among Sawla Market complex, Bole market, ware house, Tuna water projects he visited to commission in the traditional area.

He said the massive development in Savannah has justified the the president decision to create the Savannah Region.

He asked for blessing from the Bolewura palace as a son for his political reign.
