The Member of Parliament for Bole- Bamboi constituency, Hon.Yusif Sulemana has organized a skill training program in soap making for women in Bole , aimed at empowering them to be self- reliant.
The one day training in soap making forms parts of a series of such training for constituents in the Bole -Bamboi constituency.
The first phase is made of women from Bole, Mankuma and Mandari area councils of which he said the training cost is from his common fund.
The member of Parliament indicated that if a woman is trained a whole family will benefit and hence it against this back drop that he organized such a training to empower them economically.
The MP indicated that, women in the rest of the area councils in the constituency will also benefit from the package in the due cause.
The MP urged the participants and Ghanaians in general to consider voting for the NDC in the upcoming December general elections and retain him as the Member of Parliament for the Bole- Bamboi constituency for more developmental projects in the constituency and Ghana at large.
He added that for one to be a leader,it is important that the leader depicts unity and tolerance as traits of a leader of which he said he has demonstrated over the past years as an MP and the need to retain him to continue his good works.
Madam Salifu Memuna, who facilited the training session said the exercise was necessary for improving the lives of women as the only occupation for here is farming.
She hopes this will augment the farming activities of the women to fend for themselves.
The women shall be given start-ups capital to begin their activities in soap production.
