Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah, the Savannah Regional Minister has paid a courtesy call on the Tulwe Wura elect ahead of his enkinment on Tuesday 21st April 2020 at his residence in Chama in the Tulwe traditional area to congratulate him on his nomination and assured him of preparedness to work with him towards the development of the Tulwe traditional area.
The minister in a short statement made reference to how Savannians/Gonjalanders have allowed greed and disregard for tradition to mar our carefully structured system of transition which in reality have been adopted by other ethnic groups.
However, the Minister hinted that the indicators are somewhat positive, drawing inspirations from Busunu traditional area and how the nomination and subsequent enkinment of Busunuwura was carried out.
“I am delighted today because Tulwe has also exhibited that sense of maturity and utmost respect for tradition and I know that with the support of the King of Gonjaland and his committee of eminent chiefs we shall reclaim our lost image” says the minister.
Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah on behalf of the Savannah Regional Coordinating Council presented bags of maize, rice, a gallon of cooking oil and undisclosed amount of money to the successor (Bundawura Soale).
Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah promised to put an eye on the contractor who is currently working on the Tulwe road to ensure that the road will soon be motorable.
The Chief in return thanked the minister and his team which includes, the deputy Regional minister Hon. Samuel Yeyu Tika, The DCE for Central Gonja Hon.
Mahama Mustapha and the Regional police Commander DCOP Bediako.
Following the demise of the late Tulwe wura Mahama Bunyanso on 5th March, 2020, tradition demands that after all funeral rites are rightly performed including the the 12th day rites, Yagbon wura professor Tuntumba Boresa nominated Bunda wura Soale to ascend the Tulwe skins.
