Former Birifor Youth Association mouthpiece files for NPP Parliamentary primaries.

Former Public Relations Officer of the Birifor Youth Association has confirmed he will be contesting the parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party.

Mr Ankaara Sankara , who currently is a teacher at Wa Technical Institute, aspires to become the new Parliamentary candidate for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency in the Savannah Region.

The former PRO of the Birifor Youth Association, has already filed his nomination forms to contest the internal primaries of the NPP.

Addressing supporters at the party’s office after filing, Mr Sankara said leadership has failed the constituency for several years.

According to him the District was created in 1992 but 20 communities out of 278 communities are only connected to the national grid.

However, Wa West District which was created in 2004 with 237communities has 202 connected to the national grid.

He said he has all the connections with ministers in this country and if he is made the Member of Parliament for the constituency he will attract a lot of development to the area.

He lamented that only one health center is functional in the District, thus Gindabour health center and added that there are a lot of roads unattended to in the constituency.

According to him, he is development oriented and deserve to made the Parliamentary Candidate for 2024 to bring change to the people of Sawla-Tuna-Kalba.

Speaking to Mr Sankara and his supporters, the constituency chairman of the council of elders, Mr Mark Nuhu said to rescue the seat for the NPP should come with unity.

” If we really want to break the eight aspirants must campaign devoid of insults” Mr Mark Nuhu advised.

He told the aspirant that filing is the second stage but vetting , balloting and election is yet to take place and ended by wishing him well in the contest.
