
The Member of Parliament for Bole–Bamboi and Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources,Hon. Yusif Sulemana, has inspected several ongoing development projects in the Bole District as part of efforts to ensure quality delivery and timely completion.
He first inspected ongoing road construction works site in Bole.
He he stated that roads had been neglected in the past but assured residents that the current administration is committed to rehabilitating and constructing these key roads.
He recalled the poor state of some roads, describing past experiences as difficult and frustrating for commuters.
Hon. Sulemana further noted that the President recently cut the sod for the construction of major roads at Sawla, after which contractors mobilized equipment and personnel to begin work.
Different teams will work simultaneously on various stretches to speed up completion.
The road projects include the Wenchi–Wa Road, Bole Township Roads, and the Chache–Bole Road.
Both the Minister and the MP assured residents that contractors will be closely monitored to ensure timely and quality delivery. Any contractor who fails to meet standards will be held accountable.
Addressing concerns from youth and community members that only seven kilometres of roads would be constructed, Hon. Sulemana said the issue has been resolved.
He assured that contractors will survey the entire district and work on all major town roads.
He second stop was the Affordable Housing Project site, where he assessed the progress of work.
Hon. Sulemana explained that the Ministry of Works and Housing, working through the Office of the President and the Ghana Housing Home Ownership Fund, is implementing the housing project to address the growing housing deficit and improve infrastructure in the district.
He noted that the initiative is aimed particularly at providing accommodation for government workers and residents.
A contract has been awarded to Bilkis Limited to construct new housing units in the district.
According to him, the project will be executed in three phases.
Under the first phase, the contractor will build 20 two-bedroom fully detached houses, complete with internal facilities and other basic amenities.
The second and third phases will include additional housing units and high-rise buildings.
The project is expected to create employment opportunities for local workers while providing decent and affordable accommodation for public servants and residents.
The Deputy Minister added that some of the completed houses will be sold or rented, with proceeds used to revolve the housing fund to support future construction.

He urged the contractor to deliver quality work and complete the project on schedule, stressing that poor performance will not be tolerated.
He assured the company of government and community support but warned that contracts could be reassigned if expectations are not met.
Hon. Sulemana disclosed that initial land acquisition challenges have been resolved, with chiefs, elders, and community members pledging their full cooperation.
He added that the disputed land does not affect Phase One, therefore there should be no delays .
He emphasized that no development project in the district should be delayed, adding that he would speak out against any attempt to stall progress.
He encouraged residents to continue supporting government initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and living conditions in the Bole District.
