COVID- 19: Hon. Issahaku Yahaya donates to Yagbon Radio.

The Deputy Youth Organizer of the largest opposition political party( NDC), in the Savannah Region Issahaku Yahaya aka Kalusha has on Friday, 17th April, 2020 donated sanitary items to Yagbon Radio as part of his contribution to the fight against the deadly covid-19 in the Region.

Speaking to Yagbon News after the donation, Hon.Yahaya said that it was necessary everybody joins hands in the fight against the deadly virus in the Region.

According to him, the radio station has done a lot in educating the masses on the precautionary measures of the virus since its outbreak .

“I know a lot of people enter your premises on daily basis and hence there is the need for every one to observe the guidelines regarding to covid-19”, this then necessitated my little offer to your station, he noted.

The sanitary items donated includes; sanitizers, tissues and liquid soap.

Yagbon Radio General Manager Mr. Ibrahim Wande Forgor received the donation and expressed his joy for the kind gesture extended by the Deputy Youth Organizer and said the gesture would be put into its right usage.

The Deputy Youth Organizer was in company with Mr.Jacob Gbelinyari, Deputy Savannah Region Tein Coordinator .

The coronavirus pandemic in Ghana is an ongoing viral pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a novel infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome .

The first two cases of COVID-19 in Ghana during the 2019–2020 worldwide pandemic was confirmed on 12th March, 2020, when two people returned from Norway and Turkey.

Ghana currently has 641 confirmed cases with 8 deaths and 83 recoveries.
Savannah Region has not yet recorded any case at the time of filing this report.
