The King said Gonjas are well known for their hospitality that is why his grandfather’s (Gonjas) warmly welcomed and accepted their grandfather’s (the Brifors) as they came to seek for shelter in their land.
Bolewura further explained that Gonjas and the Brifors lived together for a very long time without any form of discomfort or conflict, Bolewura also made it clear to them by saying that the land in question belongs to Gonjas and the land was given to them to stay, farm, support their families, and pay homage to the Gonja Chiefs as the custodians of the land, customs, and tradition, But moving forward, matters arises and issues start escalating.
His Royal Majesty Bolewura further expressed that, they all disturbed about what happened in Gbiniyiri and as the Paramount Chief of Bole Traditional area, the land starting from Bole, Damongo, Kusawgu, Tuluwe, Chaama, Kpembi, Wasipe, Kandia, Kong just to mention but a few, all belongs to the Overlord of Gonjaland Jira Yagbon wura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (l). Then, afterwards, the land was allocated to other Chiefs in Gonjaland to be in their custody.
According to the King, at this juncture, the best place for the Brifors to go and seek apology and acceptance is the Overlord His Royal Majesty Yagbonwura. So they should go back to the Overlord to seek his approval because he has the capacity.
