The Paramount chief of the Bole Traditional Area, Bole-wura Sarfo Kutuge Feso(l), has banned the operations of all motorized tricycles also known as ‘ Camboo’ in the Bole Traditional Area by children below 18 years with effect from Friday, February 21, 2020.
A statement issued and signed by the chief on Friday and copied to the Bole and Sawla- Tuna- Kalba police commanders respectively and also to Yagbon Radio reads, ” The Paramount chief of Bole and president of the Bole Traditional Council, Bole-wura Sarfo Kutuge Feso( l), in consultation with the council of elders and the Ghana police service have put a total ban on riding of tricycles popularly called “camboo” and motor king by children below 18 years ( minors) in Bole Traditional Area with from Friday 21, 2020.
The statement adds that any under age (child) who is caught in this illegal riding of tricycles across the Bole Traditional Area will have himself to be blamed.
The statement said the chief has empowered the police to deal with any minor who is found riding any kind of tricycle in the Bole Traditional Area.
The chief has urged the public to comply with the directive to protect lives and properties.
