Bole District Assembly Holds Second Session Meeting .

The Bole District Assembly has on Wednesday 14th January 2026, held their Ordinary General Meeting of the 2nd Session of the 9th Assembly.

In a welcome address by Hon. Dramani Adams Deen ,the Presiding Member of the Assembly welcomed members by reminding them of their duties.

The PM, stated that last year 2025 has been a challenging year for Bole District Assembly and that has affected their schedules and program.

Hon Deen added that Bole District have been hardly hit by the Gbiniyiri disturbances that has displaced thousand of residents and as well led to a wide spread destruction of properties and even lost of lives.

This was immediately followed by the DCE’s accident and all these issues has affected their programs as Assembly, so that is why their holding the Second Ordinary Assembly Meeting late.

It is not any ordinary meeting but a special meeting as well because per their rules as an assembly they must approve a budget for the assembly and if not, 2026 they won’t get funds to expand or for developmental projects Of the District.

“So today our meeting is going to look at our action plan for 2026 and our annual budget for 2026”.

Honourable members the inputs they shall be making today will determine the development the District will get this 2026 .

Addressing  Assembly Members at the sitting the District Chief Executive for Bole , Hon Abdulai mahammud welcomed all assembly members to the Second Ordinary Meeting General of the assembly sitting.

Hon. Abulai Mahmud touching on development in the District mentioned that the assembly has successfully completed some projects and are in use in various communities in the District.

Rehabilitation of 1No. 3 Unit Classroom block with office at Jentige JHS, Rehabilitation of 1No. 3 Unit Classroom block with office at Bamboi St Alexander JHS, Construction of 7No. single 900mm diamond culverts and 4.No single 1200 at Bole-Sonyor feeder road, Repair and maintenance of 32No., Boreholes at various communities in Bole district, Rehabilitation of District Chief Executive’s Residence, Sitting, drilling and mechanization of 4No. Boreholes at Bole Technical Institute, Mempeasem, Fiemonkura, Sumpouyiri, Abrewanko, St. Alexander JHS, Wakawaka Primary School, Lampoga KG, Wasipe Primary, Carpenter, Jugboi and Sakpa.

On Education, the DCE, noted that the district has also seen a massive boost in the provision of furniture and over 4,000 mono desks have been supplied to various schools in the District and Bole SHS alone has gotten 1,000 mono desks to augment it’s furniture requirements.

“Education in the District has equally received enormous support from donor partners such as ZAKAT Foundation, PURE TRUST Foundation and ROTARY CLUB” he said.

On Agriculture, Hon. Abulai Mahmud added that the government of John Dramani Mahama has started the process of establishing fifty (50) Farmer Services Center across the country.

 

These Centers will be equipped with modern agricultural machinery to provide farm equipment and services to the people of his country.

 

Fortunately, the Bole District has been selected among the Eleven (11) Districts in Ghana to start operations of these centers under the 2026 budget.

 

Interestingly, the people of Sakpa under the leadership of Sakpawura have graciously provided a twenty (20) acre land for the establishment of the Farmer Services Center in the District.

 

“We are presently waiting for further directives from central government to commerce work on this project”.

 

In addition, the DCE, noted that the decision of the Executive Committee for Consideration by the General Assembly are, that management should provide financial support for the sensitization and registration of farmers under the Feed Ghana Program (FGM), that management should establish a Bole District Assembly Farm, that the management should laise with Mobile Network operations to put in place the necessary infrastructure to improve upon the poor mobile telecommunication network services around Chache and it’s surrounding areas and also Dakrupe and it’s surrounding areas, that the management should drill Boreholes in the following communities, Blenze, Yombokura, Dasokura, Matimuhu, Domiabra, Presby Community, Jama Agbelekama, Jama Nsuoanu, Kpandori and Gbogdaa.

 

Present at the Meeting were, headd of departments of the assembly, traditional rulers, NCCE, Security agencies among others.
