Residents of Dorlanakoraa, a farming community in the Bole District, on Monday night had the shock of their lives when a blind man by name Jorvuon was shot dead.

According to the Assembly man, the son of the deceased who is said to be mentally challenged and currently on the run is highly suspected to have committed the crime.

Hon Eric added that the son of the deceased according to his wife informed them that he was going for hunting at that night only to allegedly shot at his father who was preparing to take his bath.

A torchlight belonging to the deceased son was found at the crime scene.

“I have since reported the case to police of which they have started their investigations into the matter,” Hon Eric stated.

He indicated that the police have conducted examination on the dead body and have since released the body to the family for burial while investigations into the alleged murder continues.

The Assembly man added that a single barrel gun was later discovered in the bush which is believed to be the gun the son of the deceased allegedly used to commit the offence.
