The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole -Bamboi in the Savannah Region, Hon.Yusif Sulemana has distributed a range of essential items to local artisans in the Constituency.
The beneficiary artisans, who were drawn from across the constituency includes hairdressers , tailoring, barbers and motorbike repairers.
The donation includes 24 Sewing machines,15 Hair dryers, 7 Barbering kit boxes and 2 Motor fitting tools boxes.
Speaking to the Media on behalf of the MP after the donation, spokesperson to the MP,Mr Tahiru Omega said the support was to support entrepreneurship and job creation of the MP.
The initiative provided tools and resources tailored to empower the artisans across diverse trades.
Mr Omega noted that the items are intended to enhance the productivity and livelihoods of the artisans, including motorbike repairers, seamstresses, and hairdressers, thereby contributing to economic growth in the constituency.
The NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Bole -Bamboi Constituency in the upcoming general election, also stressed that the move was to boost the entrepreneurial spirit in the community and create job opportunities for the youth.
“It is expected to have positive impact on the local economy, as it would increase productivity and competitiveness among artisans,” he said.
“The engagement was both uplifting and insightful, reaffirming the MP’s commitment to sustainable development and expanding opportunities for our local artisans,” he added.
He also solicited for votes from potential voters at the ceremony for retention Hon . Yusif Sulemana as the MP and his Presidential Candidate, John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as next the President ahead of the December 7 polls.
“Your vote for Yusif Sulemana and John Mahama is a guarantee for a continuation of impactful economic and social policies and programs. Together, Bole -Bamboi will keep shining” he canvassed.
Overwhelmed with joy, the beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude for the support and prayed for God’s blessing and protection for the MP.
They pledged to put the tools to good use so as to reap the full benefits thereof.
