The Former President of Ghana and Former Member of Parliament for the Bole- Bamboi constituency,H. E John Dramani Mahama has in a spontaneous reaction to his victory as a Member of Parliament in the 2004 parliamentary elections emphasized that voters in Birifor/Dagaaba communities gave him a deserving victory.

He recognizes the Birifor/ Dagaaba communities as his world bank without which he would have lost the 2004 Parliamentary election to Dr Sulemana Achanso of the NPP.

The Former President and now Presidential candidate of the largest opposition party in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress made the revelation when a group of Birifor/Dagaaba campaign team led by Mr Dery Andrews paid him a visit at his res is residence in Accra.

A group of Dagaabas/Birifors from the Bole Bamboi and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituencies requested to meet with HE JDM to discuss certain pertinent issues bothering them.

The group bemoaned the fact that they are not able to have equal access with H.E anytime he comes to the constituency which makes a lot of them think that they are not recognized in the party.

They prayed H.E to also consider them for appointments and other jobs as they are working hard to help the party come to power in 2024.

Reducing spoiled ballots was one of the issues the group is committed to working on among other issues.

H.E John Dramani Mahama in response promised to be fair as he has always been when he gets power in 2024 and will treat all as same.

He said all of us are the same and equal and he has always been blind to tribal differences.

He promised to streamline the mining Sector to allow the youth from our constituencies and Ghana as a whole to benefit and not limit it to some group of people alone.

The Former President said he will create other opportunities for people to start their own business in agriculture and other start up business.

He also added that they will consider as a national program to train our party agents well to defend our ballots as a way of reducing spoiled ballots in 2024.

He was confident of NDC winning the next election and assured us of fair appointments for us just as he will do to others.

The group was accompanied by Hon.Yusif Sulemana and Hon.Andrew Dari Chiwitey Members of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituencies respectively.
