Alhaji Yusif Sulemana elected Vice Chairman of Muslim Caucus in Parliament.

Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, the Member of Parliament for Bole- Bamboi Constituency, in the Savannah Region of Ghana has been elected as the Vice Chairman of the Muslim Caucus in Ghana’s Parliament.

This was made known in a statement issued by the MP’s spokesperson ,Mr Iddisah Tahiru, on Thursday, July 20, 2023.

The convention in parliament has been that the majority nominates the Chairman while the minority nominates the Vice Chairman.

The majority based on this time tested convention yesterday nominated Hon. Faruk Aliu Mahama , Member for Yendi constituency, as the Chairman whilst the Minority nominated Hon Yusif as his Vice.

The two were unanimously approved by both sides of the house.

Hon. Yusif Sulemana apart from this latest position, also is the Chairman of the Savannah MPs caucus, the deputy ranking member for the Trade, Industry And Tourism committee as well as a member of the public accounts committee of Ghana’s parliament.

With their combined leadership and commitment to the betterment of their constituents and the nation, the Muslim Caucus is set to play a more prominent role in addressing the concerns and aspirations of the Muslim community in parliament.
