The STK District Football Association is set to embark on a five-year player development project geared towards producing the best of talents who would be ready to compete to become future professional players.

This was disclosed at a meeting of football stakeholders of the District held on Saturday, 2nd September 2023, at the District Office in Sawla.

The DFA Chairman, Mr. Alhassan Abdulraman used the medium to congratulate three participants(coaches) of the just ended Licence D Coaching programme in Wa in the Upper West Region.

He charged all the seven licenced coaches of the District not to be only Coaches but coach educators and to recruit juvenile players based on required age categories and focus on a long-term development plan by engaging parents and guardians of players in order to give a new orientation to football in the District.

He encouraged clubs and coaches to improvise training equipment in the short-term and also collaborate with schools to have a uniform biodata of players to avoid conflict on the FIFA connect system.

The Juvenile Committee was tasked to take the biodata of all juvenile players from their various Clubs.

The Association has also been supported with 1000 exercise books to motivate juvenile players to take their education seriously since without education, you can not play football up to the peak in the 21st century.

Clubs were urged to fill their Club management declaration forms for office records.
