The National Democratic Congress, Chairman of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency, Alhaji Osman Salia, together with the constituency executives, has distributed a total of 1,080 bags of fertilizer to the branch executives across the constituency .
The initiative forms part of efforts to support agricultural activities in the 2026 farming season.
This is part of the constituency leadership’s commitment to promoting agriculture and improving food production in the area.
According to the constituency leadership, access to fertilizer remains crucial for enhancing crop yields and increasing farm productivity.
The support is therefore expected to ease some of the challenges faced by farmers in obtaining essential agricultural inputs during the farming season.
Alhaji Osman Salia reaffirmed the constituency’s dedication to supporting farming communities and ensuring that government and party interventions reached the grassroots.
He emphasized that agriculture remains a key pillar of economic development in the constituency and deserves continuous support.
Branch executives who received the fertilizer expressed appreciation for the intervention and pledged to ensure that the bags are distributed fairly and efficiently to the intended beneficiaries.
They noted that the support would go a long way in helping farmers improve production and contribute to food security across the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency.
