The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is making good its goal of bringing its services closer to the public by opening a new office at Bole in the Bole Municipality of the Savannah Region.
The exercise forms part of the planned activities of the Authority to open new regional and District offices across the country.
In a welcome address, Bolewura Sarfo Kutugefeso expressed his delight over the coming into being of the authority in Bole.
Adding that the action by the Authority to establish an office will bring a lot of relief to his people.
The secretary Mr Abdulaih Haruna obey stated that the establishment of the regional office in Bole is based on available data that suggested that Bole is most suitable.
Stating some of the benefits Bolewura said the this will help his people get quick licensing to avoid confrontation with security agencies .
The DCE for Bole Hon Abdulai Muhammud assured the DVLA of the full support of the assembly .
Hon Muhammud stated that the Authority has a mandate within which it operates
among others including licensing of drivers and vehicles and vehicles road worthy for safety on our road adding that the office will add to the easy licensing of motors and vehicles in Bole Municipality .
The CEO of the DVLA Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey said he is happy to bring the office to Bole.
According to the CEO ,the establishment of the office is not based on the influence of the president but by data available to the Authority.
The CEO said though he is happy that his appointor home community is the resident officer but he has no hand in their dealing.
He expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people for their cooperation.
The MP for Bole -Bamboi constituency said he has never slept until the success of the office adding that the trust he has on Mr Iddisah Yaboah has come to pass on this office.
The MP stated this is the time for Bole to push for well deserved institutions and needed infrastructural and human development.
The deputy minister for lands and natural resources stated that aside DVLA ,he speaking to some people from EPA,driving school,Mineral commissions and SSNT for them to also establish offices in Bole.
He mentioned other infrastructures including road in Bole to Chache Bosec fence wall and other seven major projects,three major projects in the nursing school and construction of the abandoned teacher training college.
There shall be a STEM school in Tinga and water project in Bamboi and connections of all abandoned community on telephony.
He mentioned that Bole is set to get an ultra modern hospital.
On the N12 road he said they are to start the construction very soon from Techiman to Hamile.
The MP called on all institutions that will like establish offices to do so because Bole will is ever ready to utilize such institutions positively.
