The Savannah Regional National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Director, Hon. Mahama Zakaria , paid a visit to the East-Gonja(Salaga) and North-East Gonja (Kpalbe) Districts.
The visit is aimed at familiarizing himself with the Districts and to gain a firsthand understanding of the disaster situation on the ground.
During his visit, the Director called on key stakeholders, including the District Chief Executives (DCEs), traditional leaders, and the District NADMO office.
This was made known by his personal assistant,Mr Mahamadu Eddie Adams through a press statement.
The meetings provided an opportunity for the Director to engage with local authorities and gain insights into the Disaster management challenges and successes in the Districts.
The visit also underscores the importance of collaboration and coordination in disaster management.
By engaging with local stakeholders, the NADMO Director better understands the needs of the Districts and pledged to providing the needed if not targeted support to enhance disaster preparedness and response.
The Director’s visit is expected to strengthen the relationship between NADMO and the Districts, ultimately contributing to improved Disaster management and resilience in the region.
