“We are not against old executives of Bole-Bamboi NPP” – Hon Mohammed Shiraz-Deen.

Hon. Mohammed Shiraz-Deen, an aspirant for the secretaryship position in the Bole-Bamboi constituency of the NPP in their upcoming constituency executives elections has refuted allegations that new aspirants are on an agenda to oust the old branch executives.

According to Shiraz-Deen, in the 2018 constituency NPP elections, a discredited Album was used to conduct the election which saw a lot of agitations but heads cool down for the interest of the party.

He made these comments when the aspirants briefed the media on matters relating to the compilation of the constituency album.

According to him this year the same thing is to be perpetuated by the stakeholders in compilation of a new album which they petitioned the Savannah Regional NPP Executive Committee.

The Regional Executives however took the matter up and was agreed upon that the right procedures should be followed in the album compilation.

“But I was surprised to hear the that we the agitated aspirants are on the agenda to hide behind the system remove old branch executives from the current album”, Hon. Shiraz- Deen lamented.

He said all they need is to follow the constitution by alerting all members at the branch for the election not to bring people from elsewhere not even from the constituency to be part of the constituency album.

He said the constitution is explicit on election and selection so get all members to ascent the executives of the branch but in an event of death you replace or in an event of disagreement you elect adding that one cannot just to be taken out like that from the album.

He said in the last election some executives wasted their time to go to the center to vote but cannot find their names which is not acceptable.
