Students of Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region on November, 25, 2020, caused disarray in the school dinning hall after they were served with the evening meal which they described as not a standard meal.
The students who were served with banku and groundnut soap threw the food away with anger as most of them spew unpalatable words against the headmaster and authorities of the school.
According to the students the meal normally served them is woefully inadequate which amounts to starvation.
These students alleged that they were once served with an expired milk when they resumed school and hence called for the sacking of the Headmaster of school as said they don’t even know who their Headmaster has been.
Security personels who were called upon to restore order in the school had parts of their vehicle damaged in the process of the protest as one of the students has been apprehended who attempted causing damage to their vehicle.
The District Chief Executive of Bole District Veronica Alele Heming in an interview with Yagbon News confirm the incident and said that she has since gone to school to engage the students and assured them that she would meet authorities of the school to address their concerns immediately.
She has however promised to repair parts of the police vehicle that got damaged and also to repair a mobile phone belonging a police officer that was smashed by the rampaging students.
