The National Democratic Congress in Savannah Region has extended an invitation to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana to answer some ten questions regarding some developmental projects within the Region.

According to the party they extended these same questions to the Vice president which he abandoned and rather focused on harnessing votes in upcoming primaries from the people of the Savannah.

The party stated this in a press conference in the Regional Headquarters of the party in Damongo.

Addressing the media, Regional Communication Officer of the NDC in Savannah Region Mr R A Abdul Jalil described the recent visit of the Vice President as needless but inflicting economic hardship in the people of the Region.

Buttressing his statement Mr Jalil stated that despite the plea by the paramount Chief of Buipe Traditional area his HRM Abdulai Jinapor for Government support for Buipe flood victims the Vice President luxuriously drove through the principal street of Buipe without recourse to the Chief plea describing the decision of the vice president as inhumane .

In addition, the Vice President turned down an invitation by the Royal Majesty, the King of Gonja during his maiden Damba festival by the people of the Gonja Kingdom which Mr Jalil said is an attempt to avoid the earlier questions asked by the NDC.

He said the questions include the Damongo water project, the state of Daboya bridge, Savannah Regional house of chiefs office, Bunsunu Daboya road, Salaga Makango Road, Maintenance of Sawla fufulso Road, College of Education in Bole, North Gonja bad health situation, collapse of Buipe Shea processing factory and the state of the East Gonja Municipal Hospital, the NDC quizzed the Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia.
