Savannah Region Will Witness Massive Development Under John Mahama Gov’t

The Savannah Regional minister has reiterated the commitment of the John Mahama led administration to ensure that the region gets its share of the national cake.

Speaking at this year’s Yagbonwura Damba, the Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Salisu Issifu Be-Awuribe, delivered a speech on behalf of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Prof Naana Jane Agyeman, stated that the Yagbonwura’s demand for Development in the region is something that the government has already commence.

The Vice President, in her speech mentioned that His Excellence John Mahama is assuring the Yagbonwura of the Bamboi, Bole, Sawla high way leading to the Upper West is part of the roads which have been given attention to work on.

Again John Mahama, will construct a brand new STEM -school in Tinga in the Bole district and also the RCC through the GETFUND For the construction of an ultra-modern college of Education at Doli in the Bole district.

The Bole SHS and the Nursing training school in Bole has been given some priority and very soon infrastructure development, and the Sawla SHS is also going to benefit from a lot of infrastructures in addition to road works that will commence on the Sawla-Damongo-Fufulso high way to work on.

Still on development in the region, Prof Naana Jane Opoku- Agyeman promise us a brand new University first of it’s kind to be built in Damongo and a modern sports stadium in Damongo and also a regional hospital in Damongo.

“By the grace of God your child who is the sitting President will never abandon you and all your request will be taken so seriously and to ensure that works will commence either this year or complete by the middle of next year for you to see the fruits”

The Vice President also commend the entirety of Gonjaland for the peaceful gathering and celebration and she pray that lasting peace will return to the Savanna region, and so without peace the cannot be development.

Present at the Jakpa palace was Chiefs and Queen mothers, MP’s, DCE’s, Government appointees and sons and daughters of Gonjaland.
