The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Savannah Region has organized a training workshop to equip its communicators with effective communication skills to better tell the government’s success story.

The programme brought together the party’s communicators from across the Bole-Bamboi and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituencies.

They were taught basic communication skills and provided with important insights into the government’s policies and signature social interventions.

The goal was to deepen their understanding of these policies, to properly explain them to the people and help to discount any deliberate distortions and misrepresentation by their political opponents.

On hand to do just that, were the Deputy National Communication Director Jennifer Queen, Regional Secretary Mohamed Issah, Regional Communication Director, Lawuratu Musah Saaka Member of National Communication team, Ellen Daaku, Kofi Tonto both with the National Communication team and been supported and financed by the Managing Director of the Ghana Water Company Limited, Dr Clifford Braimah.

The programme tied in with efforts at improving the party’s communications as preparations towards Election 2024 gathered momentum.

Mr Mujahid Gilbert, the Bole-Bamboi Constituency Communication Director speaking to Yagbon News after the one day workshop noted that the event was aimed to build the capability and confidence of the communicators to sell the party and the government towards winning more votes for the party in next year’s general elections.

He said interest shown by Communicators of the party in the area was an indication of the importance attached to the programme, saying that the objective was achieved.

He asked the party’s communicators to always be up-to-date on issues, be focused on persuading people to their side, and also respect their audience.
