Rev. Banmarigu John Simon Elected National Youth Organizer Of GNAFF.

Rev. Banmarigu John has been elected as the National Youth Organizer of Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen at the 8th annual Congress on Saturday 12 July 2025 in Kumasi at the Pentecost Convention Center in Brofoyedro.

Where he came out as Victor against his contender, He obtained 105 votes and his contender had 30 votes out of total valid votes of 136.

Rev. Simon delivering his victory speech to the Media, he thank the delegates for their confidence in him pledge to work with them in unity.

The youth organizer noted that the association has been dormant for the past 16 years and his vision as a newly elected national youth organizer assured that GNAFF is visible across the 16 regions by putting billboards/ sign post to advertise GNAFF in the country.

He added that he will engage all the regional and district youth organizers for a mass registration of farmers, Fishermen, poultry farmers and cash crop farmers.

Rev. Simon mentioned that he intend to engage the youth in irrigation farming in the Northern part of the country so that the youth will not be sitting ideal and thinking of social vise’s.

Again Rev. Simon promise that he and his executives will organize a Stakeholders such as Traditional authorities, District Assembly, youth, farmers and herders to come out with a road map and to find lasting solutions so that crop farming will be attractive in the country.

He added that the youth should be rest assured that the challenges we face as farmers are farm inputs and implements.

“So GNAFF is going to collaborate with the government to ensure that we have the right tools to support the youth in farming and also ensure that we get the youth again some needed capital to start farming”.

Rev. Simon holds diploma in accounting from Tamale Technical University, first decree in accounting at GIMPA, M Phil from Sunyani CCOD University and currently attending Kingdom Bible Institute and he is currently studying PhD in theology financing and he is a certified consultant.
