The Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS), the social development arm of The Church of Pentecost, has donated 250 desks to three Preparatory Schools (PPSs) in the Sawla Area to enhance effective teaching and learning in the schools.

The beneficiary schools are Pentecost Preparatory Schools in Bole, Sawla and Tuna.

Bole Pentecost Preparatory School received 55 dual desks and 10 mono desks, Sawla Pentecost Preparatory School had 55 dual desks and 20 mono desks and Tuna Pentecost Preparatory School also received 40 dual desks and 20 mono desks.

Donating the items to the schools at Sawla on Thursday, June 18, 2020 , it was disclosed that, the Director of PENTSOS, Elder Richard Amaning in one of his educational visit to the church institutions detected the furniture deficit in the schools and hence the provision of the furniture to the Area to help improve the quality of education in the schools.

The Sawla Area Head, Apostle William Ohemeng Kwakye,  who received the desks, thanked the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, and the Executive Council for Vision 2023 which seeks to reposition PENTSOS to become more proactive and supportive to the needs of Pentecost schools.

He also thanked the PENTSOS Director for his kind gesture to the schools and entreat all the beneficiary schools to take proper care of the desks so as to meet the intended purpose.

Also present at the ceremony were Pastor Francis Kofi Gyimah, Overseer Samuel Essien, Pastor Maxwell Nti, Pastor Benjamin Addo Boateng, Overseer Isaac Kwadwo Asare, Elder Joseph Puorimah and all the headteachers of the 3 beneficiary schools.
