The Savannah Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has vowed to improve on its performance and secure more seats for the party in the 2024 general election.

The party currently holds 3 out of the 7 parliamentary seats in the region. Going into the next two year’s elections, leaders of the NPP in Savannah Region have indicated their commitment to putting in place measures to keep the party’s dominance in both the presidential and parliamentary elections in the region.

Speaking on Yagbon Radio morning show on Friday, November 25, 2022 after a tour of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba and Bole – Bamboi constituencies, the Savannah Regional Nasara Coordinator, Mr Mohammed Marhey Bamba, said the party had mapped out several strategies to help the party retain power in 2024.

The tour to the various constituencies by the Regional Nasara wing he said was to express his gratitude to the delegates for electing him into the position and to also interact with various minority tribes communities in the region.

“We have a mission to maximise our votes in the Savannah Region as declared by our Regional Chairman and this will demand hard work to ensure that if for nothing at all, we want to increase our seats to five,” he said.

The Regional l Nasara Coordinator reminded the electorates in the Zongo communities across the Region to always support the NPP in all spheres.

According to him, people from the Zongo communities across the Region have benefitted heavily from the administration of the NPP.

He added that Zongos have benefited from the Nana Addo’s administration more than any other government in the history of Ghana politics.

Mr Mohammed mentioned schools, astro-turfs, toilet facilities as some of the projects executed by the NPP in various Zongo communities in the Savannah Region.
