The Academy has received its batch of first students to study coding among others in computer programming for thirty (30) students for a year.

Addressing participants at the launch, the Executive Director for Nasco Feeding Minds,Hon Seidu Nuhu Banasco, said there is an increase in the youth population due high birth rate in Africa leading to youth unemployment in Africa.

The CEO said there is a natural phenomena of low birth rate in Europe and America causing a reduction in the working class of these giant economies which is an indication that this giant economies will have to rely on Africa for its work force.

Mr. Banasco said this is the reason to introduce this initiative to develop the aspirations of young people who want to work outside this country as middle level software developers under a scholarship of £500 for each.

Mr Banasco said when they said they want to create an opportunity for their people this is what it means.

The District Chief Executive, Hon Jacob K Domakawe said when he heard about Banasco and what he is doing for this District he was convinced that STK will become the best District in Savannah Region and the Assembly will all the time be fully in support of his NGO.

Hon. Domakawe pleads with Nasco Feeding Minds to assist the Assembly in provision of furniture indicating population is growing in various schools causing a scarcity of furniture .

The Sawla wura said training an individual means training a lot of people and that is what Banasco is doing not only in Sawla but other parts of Ghana.

He encouraged the students to embrace the program and become better than Banasco with the kind of opportunity that is being created.

Sawlawura has indicated that he has always supported Banasco and he has never changed his stance and expressed his gratitude to him and his brother for what they are doing for the people of Sawla -Tuna-Kalba District.

The Education Directorates of the Sawla -Tuna-Kalba District also expressed their gratitude to Nasco Feeding Minds for establishing computer Labs across the District in various schools indicating that they are overwhelmed with the addition of an academy to this project.
