Mr Yahaya Mahama Amantana, son of the late Yagbonwura Boranyinche Amantana has timely responded to the call made by Mankuma the host of the 10th edition of the Bole District Juvenile Volleyball Gala for support to cater for the officials.
The donation include a bag of rice, a gallon of oil, half carton of canned fish, half carton of tin tomatoes, five cartons of mineral water and five cartons of assorted drinks.
The leader of the local organising team Mr Sulemana Baba who doubles as the team manager of the host team received the items. He explained that he reached out to the NDC Bole – Bamboi Constituency Communication Officer Mr Bashiru Amantana about his plight who in turn linked up with his uncle for the funding.
Mr Baba thanked the team and the donor for coming to his aid.
He prayed for Allah’s protection and guidance for Mr Yahaya Mahama Amantana. He explained that about twenty-eight (teams) Juvenile Volleyball teams from seven (7) communities namely, Maluwe, Seripe, Simariyiri, Dabouyiri, Gbogdaa and Mandari will join Mankuma for the competition slated for 16th to 18th December, 2022. Besides, Volleyball officials from the national and regional level as well as other invited guests would attend the two-day tournament.
In his remarks, leader of the team who presented the items, Mr Samed Akati stated that Mr Amantana urgently responded to Bashiru’s call because it is related to education.
He added that the donor was very enthused about the plan to complete sports with education of the children.
Mr Samed urged the leaders to use the donation for its intended purpose.
