The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Sawla-Tuna- Kalba Constituency in the Savannah Region, Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwiitey has been honoured for his hard work and contributions to the development of the constituency.

He was honoured by the youth of Sanyeri for working to promote community and youth development.

Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwiitey who entered parliament on January 7, 2017, after winning the parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC in the 2016 election was presented with a citation at the 6th Annual Homecoming of the Sanyeri Youth for Peace and Development.

The citation presented to the MP read “We cried to and you came to our aid ,you extended your relentless support to us when we exhausted our strength in completing our self- initiated 2- bedroom project for our CHPs compound, you donated heavily towards the project which boosted the completion of our targeted project for year 2023″.

The citation continues that” Hon. you have been and inspiration to the youth of Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency and most especially the youth of Sanyeri, you personally attended our Homecoming for the past two years and made selfless donations, the people of Sanyeri appreciated your efforts in giving a facelift to Sanyeri especially when we heard you speak in Parliament about the completion of the Gbongbon bridge and also the request for the reshaping of the Nakwabi – Sanyeri road”.

” It is on this note that the youth of Sanyeri, on behalf of the chiefs and elders present this citation to you for being the highest donor towards our 2023 project and also being there for us”, the citation concludes.

In a brief remark, the President of the Sanyeri Youth for Peace and Development, Dariyiriwura said the honour was in recognition of Hon.  Andrew’s contributions towards the development and his humanitarian works in the constituency.

He commended the MP for also working to maintain a cordial relationship with the youth in the constituency which has helped to sustain the relative peace being enjoyed in the area.

Dariyiriwura expressed the hope that the honour done him will spur him on to do more than what he was doing presently to push forward the development agenda of the area and the empowerment of the youth and women.

Hon.Andrew on his part thanked the youth group for the honour done him and said it would spur him on to do more and also continue to support the youth to attain their dreams and aspirations in life.
