The fate of over pupils of the Maluwe Basic Schools in the Bole District hangs in the balance after a rainstorm destroyed their classrooms.

According to the residents the incident happened on 6th of June 2024 after a rain storm hit the Maluwe community .

Speaking to Yagbon News, a citizen of the community Mr Mahama Abu aka Abu Maluwe said the situation is worrying as pupils have to halt learning activities when it is about to rain.

He called on GES as a matter of agency to listen to their appeal and fix the situation in the school.

The school already lacks some basic amenities and the least that should be deviled the school should not be the lack availability of classrooms Abu Maluwe stated.

Speaking to Yagbon News, the Assembly member of Maluwe Electoral area Hon Issah Mohammed, said he has made several follow ups to see the situation fix but to no avail.

The Hon member said he even met the chief on the matter with the chief where he promised to speak to the GES Director but nothing has been heard from authorities.

Hon. Mohammed is appealing to the local authorities including the Member of Parliament, NGO’s among others to help them fix the school for effective teaching and learning.
