Hon. Andrew Chiwitey Dari donates plastics chairs as he fellowshipped with Sawla Local Council of Churches.

Hon. Andrew Chiwitey Dari, The Member of Parliament for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency has donated 50 pieces of plastic chairs to the Sawla Local Council of Churches as he has joined them for a thanksgiving service held on Tuesday 6th April, 2021 at the Church of Pentecost, Sawla Central.

The programme was organized by the council to appreciate God for His unfailing love and peace during the Ghana’s Presidential and Parliamentary election held on 7th December, 2020.

Prior to the election, the leadership of the council under the chairmanship of Pastor Peter Koyietey Tunjie held two days prayer sessions for a peaceful election which were participated by NDC and NPP Parliamentary candidates, the District Police Commander and all the member churches of the Council in Sawla.

After a peaceful election, the leadership of the council under the new chairmanship of Pastor Isaac Edmund Kofi Addison held a Thanksgiving service to thank God for the peace granted to Ghana and Sawla-Tuna- Kalba District before, during and after the election.

Preaching at the service, Apostle William Ohemeng-Kwakye, the Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Sawla spoke on the theme “Oh! give thanks to the Lord” with scripture reference from Psalm 136:1-10.

He stressed the need for one to appreciate whatever the Lord has done especially during the electioneering period in 2020 coupled with Covid-19 pandemic.

He therefore entreated all to thank God in spite of all challenges in life, for God is good at all times.

Speaking to Yagbon News, the MP expressed his appreciation to God and thanked each stakeholder for their involvement in ensuring a peaceful election.

Hon. Andrew Chiwitey Dari, the incumbent MP donated 50 pieces of plastic chairs at a cost of GH¢ 2,250.00 to the Local Council of Churches to aid in their activities and their involvement for a peaceful elections in the constituency.

In attendance were, the incumbent MP STK, Representative of Hon. Banasco Nuhu, the NPP Parliamentary candidate, ASP DeGraft Armah Adjei, the District Police Commander (STK) and all the member churches of the Local Council of Churches in Sawla.
