The Managing Director of HiChale,Mr. Emmanuel Dery Kuusani, has recounted the remarkable achievements recorded under his administration in the past three years describing the period as one of transformation, innovation, and renewed commitment to excellence.

Revealing this on his Facebook page marking his three years in office, Mr . Emmanuel expressed gratitude to the HiChale community for their collective effort and vision of the organization.

“Over the past three years, our work has taken shape across the following”;

– Improving educational outcomes by supporting 17 basic schools and recruiting over 50 volunteer teachers
– Strengthening small holder farming systems, including irrigation efforts in Funsi
_ Supporting over 20 bee keepers with training, logistics and marketing of honey
– Supporting rural healthcare through provision of health infrastructure and eye screening for over 600 school children
– Providing clean water to 9 communities through borehole projects
– Delivering quarterly livelihood support to 25 vulnerable individuals
– Training 19 young women in male-dominated trades in collaboration with Alinea Foundation
– Supporting the tertiary education of over 15 needy students
– Navigating operations in fragile and conflict-affected contexts
– Building internal systems for accountability, procurement, and effective project delivery.

According to him not everything has gone as planned as they have faced delays, tough trade-offs, foreign exchange pressures, and moments that forced us to rethink how we work.

“Sustainable impact is not built on good intentions alone but also on strong systems and accountability”,This has meant rethinking how we: – select and manage contractors, structure leadership and decision-making and engaging communities beyond short-term interventions, he added.
