Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on the Government to address some developmental challenges in Bole Traditional Area of the Savannah Region.

The flag bearer of the Opposition NDC stated this in Bole to mark the 2023 Damba Festival of the people of Bole Traditional council

The son of Bole said Damba celebration gives us the the opportunity to reflect on the past year and plan towards the future.

He commended Bolewura and the entire traditional area for the relative peace in the area and admonished all citizens to maintain the peace they are enjoying .

The Former President mentioned establishing a new Senior high school in addition to the existing Senior high school construction of Bole District roads especially Bole-Chache road, Seripe- Dakurpe road, Doli-Dendenyiri road, Bole- Sonyo road as immediate concerns for the area.

The Former President said the Bole District Hospital was constructed by General Acheampong with a population size that has tripled making the Bole District hospital not to fit for purpose necessitating a new hospital.

He said it was as result of all these challenges that led to the construction of the children ward at the hospital and hope it is put into good use.

He said Bole has granted his request of some plot of land to construct an ASTROTURF and promise that very soon he will begin to work on the land to develop sports talent in Bole District.

If Government of NANA ADDO don’t address them and I come back as president I shall address them especially the completion of Bole Training College, an E-BLOCK and upgrading Bole to a Municipal status.

The most successful politician stated that despite all these challenges the people cannot under estimate the development Bole has achieved over the years under the NDC .

The former member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi said he could recount how dusty Bole roads were but today they all tarred.

He mentioned that apart from Bole and Kakiase any other community was not connected to the national grid but today almost every community has electricity and an E-BLOCK in Bamboi during the tenure of the NDC.
