Division Two League; Kuga Wins Bole Zone.

Kuga Soccer Professionals FC has emerged winners of Zone five – the Bole Zone of the Northern Regional Football Association Division Two League.

Kuga owned and being coached by Mr Kwame Adjei aka Pusher beat STK Stars 2-1 on Sunday February 9th 2025 to put the ice on the cake having be confirmed winners after Hole United 1-1 draw at Tuna on Saturday.

A goal in each half from Alhassan Osman and Enerst Gibson were enough to seal the win for the home despite the fact that Abdul Fafig Abubakari pulled one back for the visitors from the penalty spot.

With 23 points from 11 games (6 wins and 5 draws), Kuga is in a very comfortable and uncatchable lead because Bole United and Super Stars, who sit 2nd and 3rd, respectively, have 18 points each .

Interestingly, United and Super Stars will battle it out in the last round of games for the right to join Kuga Soccer Professionals as qualified teams for the middle league in a couple of months.

Meanwhile, Kuga still has an objective to accomplish. The team fancies going unbeaten, with Tuna the next visitors to the Bole SHS Park next week, the target seems achievable.

The Zone’s other fixture will see STK Stars which has a disappointing campaign visiting Obey ‘s Japka Stars at the Bole Nursing Training School park.

STK will seek to at least avoid defeat to avoid relying on goal difference or head to head to survive relegation, though Tuna Hawks might find it difficult beating Kuga.

This seven-team Zone has once again proved to be very competitive.

It is therefore not out of place to say congratulations, Kuga Soccer Professionals FC on your remarkable achievement this season
