The residents of Dandepere community in the Sawla -Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region are urgently appealing to the Government and other benevolent organisations to come to their aid as their community is bedevilled with challenges.

According to the residents they are bedevilled with numerous challenges including incomplete classroom facility, a culvert for their stream and access to road network.

The community members stated this to the media when Yagbon Radio visited the community to access their challenges .

Speaking to the media a community member said their school project has stalled because the cement to complete the project has finished.

He said the initiative was between MP and GHACEM to build a three unit classroom and has since been stalled .

A pregnant woman at Dandepere said she is worried because during this season it is always difficult to cross the stream.

The community members added that pupils cannot cross the valley to Nakpala JHS during intense rains this they said is a serious challenge to the community .

The SISO for Sawla West said the hats built for the school are initiative of the new headmaster.

He said teachers and pupils usually get stranded when it rains because the valley has no culvert.

He said the MP initiative for the community has also stalled which has become challenging because of the enrollment last year of 102 but as it stands now the school has 152
which means enrollment is increasing but no facilities to cater for the increasing number.

He lamented about the poor nature of road by calling on benevolent organisations come to the aid of the community.
