“Bole is one of the peaceful traditional areas in the Gonja kingdom and the most conducive destination for business investment”, said Bolewura.
“I’m ready to offer any amount of land to investors and I call on all natives of Bole to come and invest in Bole” the Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso(l) said this during the 2021 annual Damba festival which was on the theme “promoting culture and heritage, the role of traditional authorities”.
He added that tourism development is a catalyst to development in the country and there is the need for it’s promotion with in the District, Region and nation at large.
The secretary to the Bolewura, Abdulai Haruna Obey who read the address on behalf of Bolewura added that the Bole Tradition Council has far advanced plans to construct the Bole royal meusum “bangze” to meet contemporary standard where there will be a Junior High School, health facility, a heritage conference center and other significant projects.
With issues of security, the Bolewura commended the Bole District police under the command of DSP Benjamin Buxton and his team for their hardwork in fighting various levels of crime in the District and called on the IGP Dr. George Akufu Dampara to establish one more a police command in the District.
On education, Bolewura congratulated the Bole Methodist “B” JHS for emerging first during the Kutuge Feso inter-school quiz competition and also praised Bole Senior High School for emerging as the best in the Region in the 2020 WASSCE.
“Education is something dear to my heart because it is the backbone to development that’s why I initiated the Bolewura educational fund last year which has sponsored and still sponsoring brilliant but poor students within my traditional area and I will call on all and sundry to support the fund and for sons and daughters of Bole who have already pledged their support to fulfil their promise”, he added.
He also noted that the educational performance of schools within the District has drastically reduced and therefore the need for him and his council of elders to hold a stakeholder consultation meeting to come out with pragmatic measures aimed at ending the canker.
The chief also expressed his sincere gratitude to his sub-chiefs, queen mothers and the people of Bole for their cooperation since his enskinment and for their contribution to him when he was in a bad health condition and called on all and sundry within the traditional area to assist in the administration of the area.
He also used the opportunity to welcome the North Mo traditional council, the Deputy CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority, Political heads among others who came to grace the occasion.
