As the final specks of dust settle on what has been a truly remarkable and keenly contested Division Three League season here in the Bole District, fans had to wait till the final round( match day 12) in other to know who wins the league.
The BDFA Communications provides you with a quick wrap up of some of the key points that ensured this past season will live long in the memory.
WORTHY WINNERS.
Dollar Power FC capped off a hugely impressive campaign by emerging befitting victors after 12 grueling rounds of action. Boasting of a dominant 6 wins out of 12 matches played, they surmounted the challenge of nearest rivals Mandari United, to annex the ultimate diadem.
Without question, the most rewarding game for the champions, Dollar Power FC must have been the final day 4-3 win at the Bangbin Park over Sonyor Soccer Legends; a match rich in incident and high on quality! That hard earned victory ensured Dollar Power’ a place in the history books as the first club outside the Bole township to win the Bole Division Three League under this regime. Big congratulations from the FA!
TOP FOUR STANDINGS.
With Dollar Power FC crowned champions, Mandari United were forced to settle for the runners up spot, having agonizingly finished just one point shy of Dollar Power’ final points tally of 22.
Despite an impressive start to league proceedings, Yagbon Eleven FC faded away mid-season, yet emerged from an exciting 3 way tussle to clinch third place on the log. Perhaps scant consolation for their teeming fans, who at a point, were supremely confident of seeing the league trophy draped in their all white colours on match day 12.
Fourth spot went to a Dakuripe based club, Dakuripe Gold Stars, who edged out the remaining clubs; Sonyor Soccer Legends, International Stars and J2 Academy to finish in the much fabled top four spots.
TOP SCORER AND GOALS.
Not only were there goals in the just ended division three league, there were some truly stunning strikes too!
There were a total of 75 goals registered in the 42 matches played, statistically translating into 1.7 goals scored per game.
The FA wishes to congratulate Saaka Yahaya for winning top scorer 2020/21 season. The striker had an outstanding season with Sonyor Soccer Legends with a 7goal haul to clinch the top scorer position. He was keenly followed by Harisu Wahab of Mandari United and Yussif Abdul Hakeem of J2 Academy who managed 6 and 5 goals respectively.
COACHES AND MANAGEMENT
Finally in a season where new faces in our coaching or managerial space emerged, the BDFA extends a hearty congratulations to Coach Abu Seidu( Nana Boro), Manager Abdulai Kanyiti and the technical team of Dollar Power FC for a well-deserved maiden triumph in the Bole Division Three League.
RELEGATION
Unfortunately for all the fans of J2 Academy and International Stars, the very best efforts of their respective clubs were not enough to keep them in the top four or winning the ultimate, that not withstanding they will not ply their trade in Ghana’s fourth tier league during the next term because all participating clubs were informed that, there won’t to relegation in the division three league this season.
