The National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day slated on 1st July 2025 will now be observed annually as a national day of reflection and gratitude.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama made a promise to dedicate a day to thank God for Ghana’s peace, unity and Democratic stability.

This year’s theme is, “Reflect, Reset, and Renew for National Prosperity,”

The Muslim edition of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving is observed at the Central Mosque of Bole in the Savannah region.

The DCE for Bole Hon. Abdulai Mamoud, Speaking at the ceremony mentioned that today they are here to observe with the Muslim community and they made various prayers and sacrifices for the peace, unity and development of the District.

The DCE added that it is a day that is not just celebrated for it’s prayers but it’s a day to let us reflect that we are one people with a common destiny regardless of the faith.

“Me being a Muslim was in the christian worship center and that is to tell you the kind of peace and unity that should exist within us and this is what I want us to move together as a district and foster unity for development” he said.

The event has brought together Islamic leaders, government officials, NDC Chairman for Bole-Bamboi and his executives and citizens in a solemn moment of national reflection.

The interfaith commemoration is being held simultaneously in all 16 regions and 261 districts of Ghana, under a collective canopy of spiritual reflection and national hope.
