Aspiring National Chairman for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Prof. Ameyaw Akumfi has began his campaign tour in the Savannah Region to meet delegates ahead of the party’s National delegate conference.

Prof. Akumfi Ameyaw, who is aspiring to lead the party has already toured some regions in the country, is optimistic his tour of the Seven (7) constituencies of the Savannah Region will increase his chances when the party goes to polls.

Speaking to Yagbon News after meeting with delegates in the Bole-Bambio Constituency said “this is a seat we never won for so many trials and when I become the chairman I will give maximum support to Bole-Bambio Constituency and I know we can do it”.

The Former Education Minister added that he is coming into the seat with three messages, First the need for the party to come together after the presidential primaries, we are the same people, the same party and so he is appealing to the members of the NPP that competition is part us but what is important is that after the competition we should all come together.

The second is Discipline within the party at all levels polling station, Constituencies, Regionals and National we should all be Discipline.

The final one is commitment, when we want people to be committed we should also let them benefit from the government this has eluded us and am going to work on that to make sure that we look back and satisfied the grassroot.

The aspirant said breaking the Eight (8) is possible when we are committed, it’s possible when we are happy in the party and it’s possible when we can get the grassroot to come along with us.

Finally he appeal to delegates to vote for competent people who can run the affairs of the party and don’t be entice by money from another person.
