Gonjaland Youth Association to tackle falling standards of education among other pentinent issues in Savannah Region.

The central committee of the Gonjaland Youth Association held a stakeholder meeting at Kpembe on December 4, 2021 to discuss imminent issues of land boundaries, falling standards of education and associated disturbances in the kingdom.

During the welcome address of the Kpembewura Banbange Ndefeso IV, he called on the executive board and membership of the Association to be steadfast and work tireless towards the rectification of disturbances within the Gonja kingdom whiles promoting its development.

The chief also bemoaned the falling standards of education in Gonjaland and entreated the association to assist in finding solutions to the canker through the engagement of stakeholders in the related field and Gonjaland.

The President of the Association, Lawyer Osman Amin entreated members to stay united dispute their individual differences and to present timeless ideas on how to safeguard the kingdom’s lands and its development.

With the recent land litigation issues between the Gonjas and other tribes who they share land boundaries with, members of the association suggested measures to be put in place to bring lasting solutions to the crisis.

The association also reaffirmed the falling standards of education within the kingdom and the region and therefore expresses its commitment on how to explore measures to put rectify the situation.

However, the membership of the association has scheduled 24th to the 27th of March, 2022 to hold its annual conference at Daboya which is the hub of smocks in the kingdom.
