Bole District Assembly holds Second Session Meeting of the 9th Assembly

The Bole District Assembly has successfully held their Ordinary General Meeting of the 2nd session of the 9th Assembly.

In a welcome address, the Presiding Member of the Assembly welcomed members by reminding them of their duties.

The PM called for fruitful deliberation  by stating how the system works stating that it starts from committee to management level to the general assembly for resolution .

The Presiding Member stated that they were supposed to hold at least three  meetings before the year end and hope that will be dealt with in the coming days

stating that every decision taken is going to affect the development of the District.

Addressing  Assembly Members at the sitting the District chief executive for Bole , Hon Abdulai mahammud welcomed all assembly members to his maiden assembly sitting .

Under development, Hon Mahammud stated the rehabilitation of Alexander Jhs at Bamboi,Jentige Jhs,wakawaka primary school,wasipe school lampoga school and the DCE residence.

He mentioned the successful  inauguration of the area councils in the District.

Under government policy ,the DCE mentioned the feed Ghana for which Bole is a beneficiary.

The DCE announced the registration of 220 farmer groups under various models including animals and crops  aimed at dealing with food insufficiency .

There will be farmers service centers provided to make farm equipment and inputs available for farmers .

On ex-gratia of the 8th Assembly, the DCE said they are glad to announce that there is a provision of Ghs58,500 for a third trench of payment .

Under recommendations by management committee to the general assembly for consideration included;

All non-functional streetlights in Bole town should be worked on.

That management should re-gravel major feeder roads.

That management should undertake renovation works on the Bale Primary School.

That Management should rehabilitate the District Assembly Conference Hall.

That Management should drill boreholes in the following communities;Blenze,Yombokura,Dasokura

Matimuhu.

That T and T of Hon. Assembly Members should be increased to GHC 200.00.

The committee also recommends that General Counterfoil Receipt (GCK) should ne provided to Area Councils to enable them collect cattle rates.

That Kindergartens (KGs) should be built in the following communities:Mankuma and Dikatama.

That Management should initiate some action to convert the Bole Girls Model JHS to a Girls Senior High School.

That 10,000 dual Desks should be provided to schools in the District.

That CHPS compounds should be constructed in the following communities:Jentige and Gbogdaa.

That the Social Welfare Officer should be invited to brief the House on the state of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme in the District.

That Management should as a matter of urgency carry out solid waste evacuation in the following towns:

Bole,Tinga,Banda/Nkwanta,Bamboi.

That Management should consider using DRIP machines to construct drains in flood prone areas in Bole.

That Hon Assembly Members should be resourced with basic sanitation tools for them to carry out clean up exercises in their Electoral Areas.

That Environmental Health Unit Officers should be provided with motorbikes to make them more mobile in the execution of their duties.

That Management should consider acquiring Septic Emptier to make septic emptying services readily available in the District.

That Management should procure more communal containers to help deal with sanitation issues in the District.

That Management should provide Financial Support For The Sensitization And Registration of Farmers Under Feed Ghana Programme (FGP).

That Management should ensure the provision of wheel barrows and shovels (1 each) to Tinga, Banda/Nkwanta, Bamboi and Mandari slaughter slabs.

That Management should create more me feeder roads, especially Kui community.

That Management should construct slaughter Houses in the following towns; Banda/Nkwanta, Tinga, Mandari and Bamboi.

And all recommendations were approved by the General Assembly.
