The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole -Bamboi constituency in the Savannah Region, Hon Yusif Sulemana , has donated 6 motorbikes to the Bole Municipal Health Directorate to enhance healthcare in the constituency.

The motorbikes are meant for distribution to some Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds to enable health personnel to embark on outreach services in the beneficiary areas.

At a brief ceremony to hand over the motorbikes Hon Yusif said that the delivery of quality health services to the people had always been his priority.

The MP expressed his commitment towards quality health delivery, and assured that he would do everything possible within his strength to ensure that the Bole health directorate is adequately resourced.

He said the gesture was to enable health personnel to reach out to some communities within the constituency that were hard to reach in order to attend to their health needs.

He noted that he was aware of the numerous challenges the country was facing in the delivery of health services, especially in rural communities.

Hon.Yusif gave the assurance that his office would collaborate with the health directorate to ensure that the situation was improved.

Health Director of the Bole Municipality, Ndapewurche Sulemana Fuseina, who received the motorbikes, said transport is an essential resource for the delivery of health services in the rural communities.

According to her, transport challenges made it difficult for the directorate to reach out to most of the rural communities and children in a timely manner to give them the basic services.

She lauded the MP for his continuous support of the health sector in the Damongo municipality.

Ndapewurche assured that the health directorate will use the motorbikes for the intended purpose.

She thanked the MP for the support and stated that the motorbikes had come at the right time, which will go a long way to augment the health system in terms of its transportation needs in the Municipality while at the same time bringing health services closer to the door steps of the people in the area.
