46 Tailors pass out in Bole zone 2 after three years of tutelage.

Forty -six (46 ) apprentices have successfully graduated after a three-year training at Bole zone 2 in the Savannah Region.

The Ghana National Tailors and Dress Makers Association (GNTDA), provided practical training and motivated members to work proactively and exceed consumer demands and expectations in the region.

The training is aimed at providing a central organization for tailors and seamstresses for the Bole zone 2 by harnessing essential skills and resources for an effective impact, evolving a national fashion identity and making Ghanaians appreciate the culture manifested in their clothing.

It was a great day for family and friends to show the apprentices some love as they danced their hearts out.

The Regional Chairperson ,Mrs Alice Wanye Sumani (Aliza) speaking at the event said tailoring is serious business and must be taken seriously.

She however admonished the apprentices to respect their “bosses” to be able to learn trade perfectly.

ASP Benjamin Buxton,the District Police Commander called on young men to venture into the sector adding they are few in the industry.

He said artisans should be law abiding in their daily dealings.

He however pleaded with women to take care of their Veils when riding in order to avoid accidents.

The spokes person to the Bole- Bamboi MP and deputy communication officer of NDC Mr Iddisah Tahiru speaking on behalf of the Member of Parliament and on behalf of the NDC said there was a suggestion Bole to Prof Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang running mate of NDC 2020 election to adopt a free apprecentiship fee for artisans.

According to Mr Tahiru the MP’s doors are open any time when they have challenges adding that he will not support them only when he is seeking for re-election.

Speaking to Yagbon Radio the chair person for zone two in Bole Mrs Barkisu Iddisah said she only prayed for the graduands to be successful in their work.

She pleaded with them not leave the profession but up hold it integrity anywhere they found themselves.

Mrs Barkisu equally called for support
explaining how passionate some of the young people are towards the job but no funds to take of them through during training.

She said for a young graduand establish after training has also being one of their biggest challenge and therefore called on stakeholders to assist them with start up capital.
