Yalwa Assemblyman donates 12 streetlights to aid fight against crime.

The Assembly Member of Yalwa Electoral Area of the Bole District Assembly, Hon. Adam Dramani Deen, has presented 12 streetlights to some institutions to improve security in the area.

The lights, estimated at GH¢3,600.00, is to illuminate the beneficiary institutions to reduce the crime rate in the District.

The beneficiary institutions are ST. Kizito Vocational/ Technical institute, St. Kizito A primary school, Presby school and St. Kizito B JHS .

The donation took place on November 22, at the ST Kizito Vocational and Technical Institute where four schools out of six in his Electoral Area received the support.

In an address on behalf of all the beneficiary schools, the Principal for KIVOTECH Brother Ana Cletus thanked the Assembly Member for the kind gesture and promised that items will be put into good use.

He said an earlier the meeting that they held with the Assemblyman and his donation shows his commitment in developing the Electoral Area.

He said is a fact that insecurity has become a serious matter in the District citing an example of one student who was once Persuaded by some unknown persons.

Speaking exclusively to Yagbon News, the Assembly Member of Yalwa Electoral Area Hon Adam Dramani Deen, said the intervention has become necessary as a result of the insecurity in the District.

He said as an Assembly Member his main objective is to canvass for the development of his area.

He however said insecurity in respect to strange burials and stabbings, among other social vices usually take place in these schools.

According to him after a meeting with his unit committee members they realized this action be taking to reduce these crimes

He gave KIVOTECH 4, St Kizito’s JHS B 4, Presby school 2 and St Kizito’s primary A 2 but explained that Confidence and Star Plex School was not part as a result of lack of electrical network in the schools to hung the lamps.

He was however grateful to the Bole District Assembly explaining that the Assembly couldn’t finance the project as they had earlier on used the funds to clear the heap of rubbish opposite the Confidence School causing the Assemblyman to personally fund the project .
