Tesonteng FC claimed victory in the 2025 Savanna Amateur Tournament, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork. The tournament featured 16 talented teams from the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba, Bole, and Wa West Districts.
In the intense final against Negber FC, both teams created scoring opportunities, but the match remained goalless after 90 minutes.
Tesonteng FC’s goalkeeper, Charles, made a crucial save in the penalty shootout, securing a 9-8 win.
The winners received gold medals, jerseys, a football, and GHC 1,000. Negber FC received silver medals, jerseys, a football, and GHC 800. Bale Iron Breakers and the fourth-placed team Sogouteng FC each received bronze medals, jerseys, a football, and GHC 500.
Special guest Hon. Andrews Chiwetey, MP for the Sawala Tuna Kalba Constituency, donated GHC 500 to Tesonteng FC and GHC 400 to Negber FC.
Notably, the CEO of Techiman Eleven Wonders FC, Steven Poore Jr., was among the dignitaries in attendance.
Donseih Francis of Negber FC was named the tournament’s best player and top scorer. Congratulations to Tesonteng FC on their well-deserved win!
