The embattled Assembly member elect for Zongo electoral area Mr Jerkeleh Joseph has organised an exercise that saw trained over fifty women on how to make laundry materials.

The laundry materials include liquid soap, Parazon, floor cleaners and disinfectants that were made one after the other for the women in the Zongo electoral area.

Speaking to Yagbon News some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the embattled Assembly member for such an impactful training.

Madam Patricia said they are grateful to Mr. Joseph for remembering them in his sleep for this very important training assuring him of putting it into practice for the benefit of society and themselves .

Madam Mariam said they didn’t have jobs but as a result of this training they now have something to do and praying for God’s blessings upon him for him for travelling from Accra to come and support.

They also expressed their appreciation to the instructor for the patience and the impactful training he leads.

Addressing the media Mr. Jerkeleh Joseph said the exercise is among other visions he has for the people which is the main reason he left Accra to and contest for the position.

Mr Joseph explained that he noticed some challenges he thinks he can help to resolve in his electoral area and that is exactly what he is doing adding that this program could have started early but he battling a court case which states that he couldn’t hold himself as an Assembly member.

Mr Joseph said the next in his agenda is scholarship for brilliant but needy students and Zongo development accounts that harnesses resources to develop the area.

Madam Rhoda Boateng said this is an initiative from the office of the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party as a campaign routine.

She said the initiative seeks to empower women in local communities to be able to gain some basic trade in their communities.

Madam Rhoda urged the women to take the exercise serious because it a tireless effort for Mr Joseph to bring this training to the people of Zongo.
