In a shocking incident, a newly born baby was retrieved dead at a public toilet located at Mempeasem in the Bole District of the Savannah Region.
Sources said that some locals noticed the body of dead baby in the toilet on Friday Afternoon, May, 27, 2022.
They immediately alerted the Ghana National Fire Service Personnel’s who quickly dispatched to the scene and retrieved the dead body of the baby.
The baby is suspected to have been dumped into the toilet over a week now due to its decomposing state.
Police were yet to report at the scene at the time of filling this report.
Residents who spoke to Yagbon news at the scene called on all to be vigilant in their communities to assist identify persons who engage in these disheartening practices.
This is the second time a newly born baby has been dumped into a public toilet at the same area in Bole in the Savannah Region after the first incident happened on July, 21, 2020.
