Makuma Circuit Shines at Inter-Circuit Sports Competition

The week-long Inter-Circuit Sports Competition, held at Bamboi from May 12th to 17th, 2025, was a resounding success, with Makuma Circuit emerging as the dominant force. The circuit’s exceptional performance earned them an impressive 7 out of 10 disciplines, showcasing their athletic prowess and dedication.

Makuma Circuit’s winning streak was evident across various sports, including handball for both boys and girls, volleyball for boys and girls, soccer for under-15 girls, netball, and cross-country for girls. Their outstanding performance was a testament to the circuit’s commitment to nurturing talented young athletes.

Meanwhile, Bole West Circuit defeated the defending Champions in the U-15 Boys Soccer via penalties after an entertaining 1-1 draw in the finals. The host Circuit, Bmaboi also emerged victories in the U-13 boys soccer while Tinga Circuit was crowned Champions of the Boys Cross-country event.

The tournament was graced by notable dignitaries, including the District Director of Education and the new District Chief Executive (DCE). Their presence underscored the importance of sports in the district’s development and the potential for young athletes to excel.

As Makuma Circuit basked in the glory of their triumph, their achievement served as a motivation for other circuits to strive for excellence. The competition not only showcased exceptional athletic skills but also promoted teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among the participants.

The success of the Inter-Circuit Sports Competition highlighted the district’s investment in sports development and its potential to uncover and nurture talented young athletes. As the circuits continue to prepare for future competitions, the spirit of sportsmanship and friendly rivalry will undoubtedly drive them to push beyond their limits and achieve greater heights.It is an indisputable fact that the teams selected for all the categories in all games would compete for glory in the upcoming Inter-district competition in Daboya.
