Tuna SHTS appeals to government for support over infrastructure deficit.

Authorities of Tuna Senior High/ Technical School have appealed to the government to address the infrastructure needs of the school.

The Headmaster Mr. Dabortah James Jinkogtah, made the appeal during the inauguration of the REFEECT Africa Project emphasizing the urgent need for steps to be taken in order to address the numerous problems confronting the institution.

The headmaster disclosed that there is no functional bus available for conveying students to programs and other locations, which hampers the enhancement of their academic work, among many other challenges.

Mr. James, also noted that the unavailability of school pick-ups has made administrative work difficult.

He noted that having good vehicles will help provide more effective school administration.

He also appealed for a construction of a dinning hall and fencing of the school to improve security.

The Executive Director of Nasco Feeding Minds,  said he was pleased to announce that due the intervention on the part of ICT Sawla Tuna Kalba is now leading in the region on ICT.

He believes that the REFFECT Africa project will produce equal opportunity for the school to have uninterrupted power supply to power their facilities for effective teaching and learning.

He said from now Tuna Senior High/Technical School will now be using gas to cook for the students.

The Co-founder of NASCO Feeding Minds, Mr Ousman said he could have chosen to invest in Spain, however he remembers how he hard to suffer to Spain and don’t wish it for any one from his part of the world.

He said this is to give opportunity to the students and urged them to study hard for a better future.

The District Director of Education joined the Headmaster of the school to appeal to donor partners to support the school in the area of infrastructure.

She said ousman could have remain in Europe to enjoy his lots but he remembered the future of his people and decided to come without empty hands.

She said Tuna SHTS is actually facing challenges that need to be addressed and hence reiterated the appeal by the school

Tunawura, Mahama Amantana appealed to UENR to assist admit students from his area to continue their technical education.

Tunawura said he has heard about their good track records and believes that if they admit their students it will create a brighter future for them

The Pro-Vice Chancellor assured the school that their doors are open to all to apply and will be admitted into the institution.
