The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Water Company, Dr. Ign. Clifford Braimah, has said that his political party are better managers of the Ghanaian economy than the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, the track record of the party is there for all to see and hence remains shocked that the NDC would want to compare their achievements to that of the NPP.

Speaking on Yagbon radio on January,07, 2021, he said that, despite the challenges brought upon the Ghanaian economy by the Covid-19 pandemic, the NPP has still been able to outperform the NDC in the management of the economy.

He added that he is optimistic that by the current performance of the Nana Addo led administration, the New Patriotic Party will be able to break the eight years cycle jinx in the Ghanaian political setting.

Elaborating on the performance of the NPP in the Savannah Region, Dr. Ign. Clifford Braimah disclosed that the Savannah Region has benefited immensely from the distribution of the national cake.

“The Savannah Region which was created by H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has not been left out in the distribution of the national cake. The president gave the region its share when it comes to governmental appointments, distribution of developmental projects, recruitment of individuals in the various security agencies among other aspects of national development”, he said.

That notwithstanding, he commended the government for the introduction of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) which according to him has given temporal employment to young unemployed graduates whiles equipping them with the needed skills for the job market and possible absorption into government payroll.

He added that implementation of the Free SHS educational policy is unprecedented in the history of the country and that, the policy has lessen the burden on parents in the payment of the fees of their wards.

“Education is one of the ways to change the world, reduce poverty whiles promoting socio-economic development. The introduction of the policy did not only lessen the burden on parents but it is aimed at promoting the development of the country”, he said.

He added that the necessary beuracracies surrounding the Damongo and Yapei water projects have been completed and the various projects will kick start soon.

However, he cautioned party faithfuls of his party in the Savannah Region to stay away from name calling politics and any activity that will tarnish the image of the party and bring disunity in the party as they prepare for their regional and constituency elections.
