The Bole District of the Church of Pentecost under the auspices of the Sawla Area Head, Apostle Ohemeng Kwakye is set to undertake a massive cleanup exercise to rid Bole and its communities of filth.
The exercise which is under the “Environmental Care Campaign”, an initiative by the Church of Pentecost to ensure that communities are kept clean will bring together stakeholders such as the Bole Traditional Council, the District Assembly Market women, Assembly members and community members to clean and demonstrate the need to keep our environment clean.
The Bole District pastor of the Church of Pentecost, Pastor Benjamin Addo Boateng indicated that the Church of Pentecost has rolled out the Environmental Care Campaign for all its church branches to champion and undertake cleanup activities to keep communities clean.
He said an environmental sanitation management plan which will include clean ups, public education and law enforcement activities will be undertaken in Bole and its surrounding communities to sustain a clean environment.
In an interview with Yagbon News, the Pastor bemoaned the improper waste management practices at public places which has become a health threat and the need for us to keep our surroundings clean.
He said the campaign will be launched on Monday February 24- Saturday February 29, with intensified series of activities concerning environmental cleanliness.
